We become better at something if we do it often. If we spend 5 minutes each day practicing violin, it will take a much longer time to master a technique or learn a piece than if we spend 30 minutes or an hour each day practicing violin.
Because the violin is not an easy instrument to master, I strive to teach with humility, perseverance, and patience.
I understand that each family has their busy schedule and routine. In anything, progress requires a certain amount of dedication and practice; an investment. Students should expect to practice 5 days per week, even if it is a short practice session. Keeping a practice log can be helpful in organizing practice time and tracking goals.
When students thoughtfully practice, they will see improvement and be encouraged.
